| Kevin Earey was admitted to Membership of the Housing Industry Association(HIA) in 1981.
When a consumer contracts with a HIA member they can be assured that the builder has access to the latest information and services which will assist all parties in the building process.
The HIA member is part of the largest member association of its type in Australia, that is focused on the housing industry with the aim of keeping housing affordable for all Australians. All members of HIA agree to abide by a Code of Ethics.
Owners have benefited from HIA members efforts to extend the First Home Owner Grant to $14, 000. Home owners also benefit from HIA members efforts to keep and promote a strong independent subcontractor workforce, which keeps home building costs on average 20% lower than commercial building costs.
HIA members, through their association, assist home owners with information on the building process. Owners who contract with a HIA member have access to the latest Plain Language house building contracts and supporting documents that help owners negotiate the complicated process of home building and renovation.
